Karachi: In yet another act of brutality, the Pakistani security agencies have abducted the teenaged brother of Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (JSQM) Chairman Sanan Qureshi and son of Martyr Bashir Khan Qureshi, a legendary leader who fought for freedom of Sindh from Pakistan.
The abduction of Kossain Khan Qureshi by the personnel of Pakistan’s notorious Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has triggered a major outrage among the Sindhis.
Kossain was picked up without any reason by the Pakistani security agencies who descended at his home in Gulshan-e-Hadid area of Karachi last night and his whereabouts are still not known, according to his family.
He is a third year law student and younger son of Martyr Bashir Khan Qureshi, a prominent and brave Sindhi nationalist leader who was killed by the Pakistani security agencies some years back.
Bashir Khan was then the chairman of JSQM.
The abduction of Kossain, which fueled fears regarding his safety, triggered anger among the Sindhis, hundreds of whom staged a protest outside Karachi Press Club today.
The protest was led by Sanan Qureshi.
A campaign was also launched on Twitter with the hashtags #ReleaseKossainQureshi and #ReleaseQosainkhanQureshi, along with appeals to the global human rights bodies to intervene to force Pakistani establishment to end such atrocities against the people of Sindh.
Pakistani intelligence and security agencies are notorious for abducting leaders and innocent people of Sindh and Balochistan, who are struggling for freedom from Pakistan.
