Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has said Pakistan’s Generals were again extracting dollars from “international forces” under the pretext of “fighting terrorism” and that Afghan Taliban are unfairly being blamed for the instability in Pakistan.

According to TTP, the Pakistani military, in connivance with the international forces, is responsible for all ills afflicting Pakistan, including the economic crisis.

The TTP, in a statement, strongly objected to the declaration of ‘Grand Tribal Jirga’ held in Peshawar a few days back which alleged that Afghanistan’s Taliban was responsible for the actions against Pakistani security forces in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Jirga, while claiming that peace in Pakistan was being sabotaged by the Afghan Taliban, demanded action against the Islamist group.

“We have condemned such baseless accusations before and continue to strongly condemn them,” said TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani in a statement.

TTP said the Jirga unnecessarily tried to blame Afghan Taliban for instability in Pakistan in an attempt to put a cover on the failed politics within Pakistan.

“It is clear who sabotaged the country’s (Pakistan’s) peace in exchange for dollars over 20 years,” Khurasani said.

He said the political and military class of Pakistan was “dropping new bombs of inflation” on the people of the country every passing day “in order to implement the international agenda”.

Khurasani asked, “Isn’t it a fact that high positions and ministries in Pakistan are distributed on the orders of international forces?”

He also asked, “Is it not a part of the international agenda to create problems for the Islamic Emirate (Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban) in the United Nations by putting the blame of Pakistan’s insecurity on Afghanistan?”

Khurasani said “the Pakistani Generals once again, in the name of fighting terrorism”, are “extracting dollars from international forces”.

“Despite knowing all this, it is unfair to blame Pakistani Mujahideen and the Afghan Taliban for Pakistan’s insecurity,” the TTP spokesman said.

“Remember, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, for the sake of achieving its religious values and national interests, is engaged in Jihad against the oppressive security institutions and those classes who have been hindering the existence of this country and the rights of nations from its own land with the support of its zealous nations,” he said.

He said all resources of Pakistan are “illegally occupied” by the Pakistani Generals and elites.
