New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the National Security Guard (NSG) personnel and their families on NSG’s raising day and said it plays a crucial role in India’s security apparatus.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “On their Raising Day, greetings to NSG Black Cats personnel and their families. NSG plays a crucial role in India’s security apparatus. It has been associated with utmost courage and professionalism. India is proud of NSG”s efforts to keep India safe and secure,” he added.

Established in 1984, the National Security Guard is a special unit of the Indian Special Forces, which combat terrorist activities with a view to protect states against internal disturbances.
The NSG commandos are the best in India and rank amongst the top five in the world of elite special forces.
