New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a meeting of Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national office bearers, including the national general secretaries and state presidents, at NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
BJP chief JP Nadda was also be present among other office-bearers of the party at the national level. BJP’s state unit chiefs also attended the meeting.
The PM started the meeting by paying tributes to those who lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This was the first big level meeting of BJP national office bearers after the break out of Covid-19 pandemic. It also came amid farmers protests that have been continuing for over three months now.
The key BJP meet also comes ahead of the assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal, this year.
In another news, Union Home Minister Amit Shah cast his vote in Gujarat civic polls. He cast his vote at the Naranpura Sub Zonal office in Ahmedabad. Elections are being held to 575 seats.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who tested COVID-19 positive during the campaign some days back, also cast his vote with all necessary precautions.
