New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wished his Pakistan counterpart Imran Khan a speedy recovery from the novel coronavirus.

Khan, 68, had tested COVID-19 positive today, two days after receiving his first dose of the Chinese Covid vaccine ‘Sinovac’.
Best wishes have been pouring in for the Prime Minister after Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, confirmed that he has contracted the virus.
The country reported 3,876 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours – the highest number of daily infections since early July, according to government data.
According to the Johns Hopkins University’s coronavirus tracker, Pakistan has so far reported 623,135 cases and 13,799 deaths.
