New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on sidelines of Quad Leaders’ Summit in Washington DC, USA, yesterday.
This was the first in-person meeting between two leaders in the post-pandemic period, an official release said.
Last bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Scott Morrison was the Leaders’ Virtual Summit held on 4 June 2020 when Strategic Partnership between India and Australia was elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During meeting, Prime Ministers discussed a broad range of issues of bilateral, regional and global importance, official release added.
Two leaders noted with satisfaction regular high-level engagements between two countries, including recently held first India-Australia Foreign and Defence Ministers’ 2+2 Dialogue.
