Srinagar, Jan 07(NVI): In a significant move to combat drug trafficking and disrupt its financial networks, Anantnag Police have attached a double-storey residential house worth approximately Rs 1 crore.
Police said that the property, located in Satkipora and built on 1 Kanal of land, belongs to Khurshid Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gani Dar.
Police confirmed that the house was linked to the proceeds of drug trafficking and was attached under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The accused is involved in a major narcotics case, registered under FIR No. 47/2019 at Police Station Srigufwara, which led to the recovery of substantial quantities of contraband substances.
“This decisive action highlights our commitment to eradicating the drug menace and dismantling the financial networks supporting the illegal narcotics trade. Such measures aim to deter criminal activities and safeguard society from the harmful effects of drug abuse,” police stated.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate in creating a drug-free society and reaffirmed their resolve to take strict legal action against those involved in drug-related crimes. (News Vibes of India)
