Srinagar, Sep 11 (NVI): Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Rajbagh Police Station upon receipt of a written complaint from a National Political Party about the circulation of a fabricated document on social networking sites.
Srinagar police in a Tweet on social media platform X as per the News Vibes of India (NVI), said It has gone viral online due to the fake correspondence issued over the forged letterhead of a senior party leader. Authorities are taking it seriously, and an investigation has been initiated under relevant sections of law.
“Police takes cognizance upon written complaint of a national political party wrt a fabricated communication being circulated across SM platforms spreading misinformation,using counterfeit letterpad of a senior party leader. FIR under relevant sections of law regd in PS Rajbagh and investigation has been initiated,” reads the Tweet.—(News Vibes of India)
