Anantnag, Mar 29 (NVI): A Sub-Inspector died after he fell unconscious while on duty at a battalion headquarters in the Mattan area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Singh (58), son of Awtar Singh and a resident of Kadyal in RS Pora, Jammu.
He suddenly collapsed in his room at the Battalion Headquarters in Kehribal and was immediately taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mattan, where doctors declared him brought dead, the officials said.
The body has been shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Seer Hamdhan for medico-legal formalities, they added.(NVI)
