Srinagar, Mar 15 (NVI): Three rusted old mortar shells were found during excavation work for the construction of a bridge at Mahrajpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the shells that surfaced during digging work.
The shells were later safely recovered by the police, and necessary procedures were initiated to ensure safety in the area, the official added.(NVI)
