Police seize drug peddler’s vehicle in Anti-Narcotics Drive in Awantipora

Srinagar, Dec 10 (NVI): In a decisive action against drug trafficking, Police seized a four-wheeler valued at approximately Rs 3.30 lakhs owned by a notorious drug peddler, Jitender Singh son of Nirmal Singh, a resident of Gamraj Tral.

The seizure was made under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985 in Awantipora in Pulwama district.

The vehicle was identified as illegally acquired property during an investigation led by the SHO of Police Station Tral under the supervision of SDPO Tral. It was confirmed that the vehicle had been purchased through proceeds from narcotics trafficking.

Jitender Singh is already implicated in two cases under the NDPS Act—FIR No. 28/2024 registered at PS Tral and FIR No. 139/2021 registered at PS Awantipora.
