President Rule revoked in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 13 (NVI) : The central government today revoked the President’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir to pave the way for formation of an elected government of National Conference-led alliance.

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been under the Central Rule since June 2018 after the collapse of an elected government of PDP-BJP combine.

The ending of the central rule paves the way for the National Conference-led government to take charge.

Omar Abdullah is expected to take oath as the Chief Minister along with his Council of Ministers in a few days. (NVI)
