New Delhi (NVI): After a gap of almost three years, the rail service on Jaipur-Sikar route has resumed with a new train as Railway Minister Piyush Goyal flagged off the new service on October 21.
Since November 14, 2016, train services between Jaipur-Sikar remained suspended as the tracks were being converted from meter gauge to broad gauge.
Train service Jaipur-Sikar-Jaipur Diesel Multiple Unit (DEMU) will operate six days a week on the newly Gauge converted Jaipur – Ringas section.
The train will pass through Ringas, Dehar Ke Balaji, Govindgarh malikpur, Chomu and others to operate between Jaipur and Sikar.
Goyal inaugrated the DEMU through Video-conferencing. Sumedhananda Saraswati, Member of Parliament from Sikar also participated in ceremony from Ringas.
