New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds exceeding up to 60 Kmph over Peninsular, East and Northern parts of India for the next five days.
According to IMD, “Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls are likely over Gujarat State, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during next 4-5 days.”
“Isolated very heavy falls is also likely over East Rajasthan on 19th & 20th; over Gujarat region on 20th & 21st and Saurashtra & Kutch during 22nd & 23rd September 2021,” it said
Parts of Uttarakhand are also likely to receive scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls during 20th -23rd September.
Fairly widespread to widespread Rainfall with & isolated heavy falls likely to continue over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal on 19th & 20th September, 2021, the IMD said.
It further said, “Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely at isolated places over East Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.”
Squally weather (wind speed 40-50 kmph to gusting 60 kmph) is very likely over the Southwest & Westcentral Arabian Sea.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas, the IMD said.
