Rain to bring respite from muggy weather in Delhi, Haryana

New Delhi (NVI): Parts of Delhi would continue to receive rainfall and witness thunderstorms with gusty winds exceeding up to 50 km/ph over the next three days, according to the weather officials.

“Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely in Delhi for the next three days and local dust uplifting is likely. The short-lived dust spike is likely to improve by following the rain and the washing out process,” the SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research) said.

The air quality in the national capital is forecasted to stay in the moderate to satisfactory category with PM10 as the lead pollutant for the next three days, it said.

According to IMD, “Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi.”

Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Kmph would occur over and adjoining areas of Adampur, Hissar, Hansi, Meham, Siwani, Tosham, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri (Haryana) Bhadra, Sidhmukh, Sadulpur (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours, it said.

Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Fatehabad, Barwala, Adampur, Hissar, Hansi, Meham, Siwani, Tosham, Bhiwani, Kosali, Charkhi Dadri (Haryana).

Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Km/ph would occur over and adjoining areas of Loharu, Narnaul, Mahendargarh (Haryana) Bhadra, Sidhmukh, Sadulpur, Pilani, Jhunjunu (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours, the IMD said.
