Srinagar, Janu 18(NVI): Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Chief Minister’s Advisor Nasir Sogami, and Health Minister Sakina Itoo are traveling to Budhal in Rajouri district to assess the situation caused by a mysterious illness that has tragically claimed 16 lives so far.

Budhal, located in the remote hilly region of Rajouri, is known for its scenic beauty but faces significant challenges due to limited healthcare infrastructure and difficult terrain. The area’s isolation often hampers timely medical intervention during emergencies.

In a post on X, Surinder Choudhary shared updates on their mission, stating, “On directions of Honorable Chief Minister flying to Budhal to review the situation and meet families of victims along with Nasir Aslam Wani (Advisor to CM) and Madam Sakeena Itoo ji. Stuck at airport from last 1 hour flying conditions are not suitable waiting for clearance.”

The team is expected to meet affected families, review local healthcare facilities, and collaborate with experts to determine the cause of the illness. Authorities are also likely to discuss strategies for improving healthcare accessibility in the region. This visit underscores the government’s commitment to addressing public health emergencies, especially in remote areas.(News Vibes of India)
