New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the success of Jal Jeevan Mission under which more than 3.77 crore households have been provided with tap water connections since the launch of the mission in August 2019.
“Remarkable progress to ensure water to every household. We aim to build on these gains and work even faster to fulfil the dream of #HarGharJal. The success of the Jal Jeevan Mission will benefit all sections of society,” PM Modi tweeted while replying to Union Jal Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s tweet on the achievement.
“Since launch of #JalJeevanMission on 15th Aug 2019, so far more than 3.77 Crore households are provided with tap water connections. Now, more than 7 Crore rural families (36.5%) have started getting clean water in their homes,” Shekhawat tweeted earlier today.

So far, more than 3.77 crore households were provided with tap water connections since the mission began on August 15, 2019, as per the ministry.
The Jal Jeevan Mission, a flagship programme of the Narendra Modi government, aims to provide tap water connections to all rural households by 2024.
