Jammu, Apr 13 (NVI): An old rusted shell was found near Sandote village falling under PP Balakote in Mendhar area of Poonch district on Monday, official sources said.
They said that upon receiving the information, a team rushed to the spot and secured the area.
Later, at around this afternoon the shell was safely destroyed by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team of 21 Punjab under 323 Mountaineering Brigade, Mendhar.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far, they added.(NVI)
