Shopian, Sept 08 (NVI): A scuffle broke out between workers of People’s Democratic Party and Awami Itehad Party in Balpora area of Shopian on Friday, police said.
Shopian police on its social media platform X wrote, a clash broke out in a programme attended by members of two political outfits, who attacked each other. The two outfits were accused of flouting the MCC, which regulates the conduct of political parties during elections.
“A scuffle reported between PDP and AIP party workers in Balpora, Shopian resulting in minor injuries. Both parties have been reported for violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), and the Police have taken cognizance of the incident,” police wrote on X.—(News Vibes of India)
