Use of mobile phone by teachers in classrooms banned in Kashmir’s Karnah

Kupwara, Aug 09 (NVI): The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Karnah Zaffar Ah Lone has directed all teachers to avoid using mobile phones during duty hours.

As per the directive of the SDM, only head of the institute is allowed to use the phone during duty hours for necessary communication.

“Any violation of these instructions will result in disciplinary action under relevant laws,” He said

Zonal education officer of Tangdhar and cluster heads have been tasked to oversee the implementation of this policy across all educational institutions in the sub-division.

“It is impressed upon Head of the Educational Institutions (Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle and Primary Schools) of Karnah Sub Division, through the medium of this circular that all the teaching faculty in aforementioned institutions shall keep their Mobile phones Switched off during working hours. Only HOIs shall keep their mobile phones switched on to receive relevant communications when ever required,” reads the circular.

“Further if anyone found violating the instructions shall be taken into task under relevant laws. Zonal Education Officer Tangdar along with Cluster Heads to ensure it in letter and spirits,” it states further.(News Vibes of India)
