Srinagar, Aug 12 (NVI): The search operation in the Kokernag forests in district Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir entered its third day as security forces continue their efforts to track down terrorists believed to be hiding in the area.
The Joint operation involving the Army, Police and CRPF was launched following intelligence reports of terrorists presence in the area.
Despite challenging terrain and dense forests, security forces have intensified their search, using advanced equipment and drones to locate the terrorists.
The operation has led to exchange of fire on saturday in which two soldiers and a civilian were killed.
Authorities have imposed restrictions in nearby areas to prevent civilian movement and ensure the safety of residents.
The operation is part of a broader strategy to eliminate terrorist threats in the region and maintain peace and security. Further details awaited (News Vibes of India)
