Srinagar, Oct 21(NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that security forces have been given full freedom to identify and eliminate the terrorists responsible for the recent attack on innocent laborers in the Gagangir area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal, which claimed the lives of seven people, including a doctor.
When asked about the strategy to counter the terrorists behind the Gagangir attack, Sinha said that security forces have been empowered even further to eliminate these threats. “I am confident that security forces will eradicate these terrorists soon and bring them to justice,” he said, after visiting the injured at SKIMS hospital in Srinagar.
Sinha also announced that the company employing the laborers would provide compensation, and under SRO 23, additional compensation would be offered to the affected families.
In response to questions about Pakistan’s opposition to peaceful elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha said that the peaceful environment in the region is a source of discomfort for them, which is why they engage in such barbaric acts. “Their plans will always be exposed, and they will gain nothing from these actions,” he added.—(News Vibes of India)
