Kulgam, Apr 11 (NVI): Security forces on Saturday busted an underground cache containing arms and ammunition in the Brinal forest area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
The recovery was made during a search operation launched jointly by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the forest belt following specific inputs.
Officials said that during the operation, an underground barrel was detected and subsequently unearthed, leading to the recovery of arms and ammunition. The area has been cordoned off and a search and destroy operation is currently underway to trace any additional caches or suspicious presence in the vicinity.
