Rajouri, Sep 28 (NVI): Seven people, including a two-year-old child, were injured after a Tempo Traveller met with an accident in the Manoor Gala area of Kandi in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday, officials said.
The accident occurred when the vehicle reportedly went out of control and crashed near Manoor Gala, they said.
Locals rescued the injured from the vehicle and shifted them to Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, for treatment.
The injured were identified as Mohammad Akhlaq (18), Mohammad Shabir (30), Abdul Ghafoor (65), Yasmeen Kousar (25), Birta Devi (28), Diljit Singh (2) and Mohammad Hanif (57), officials said.
Police reached the spot and initiated necessary proceedings. The exact cause of the accident is being ascertained.
All the injured are undergoing treatment at GMC Rajouri, officials said.—(NVI)
