Single-day Covid cases in India dip to 1,968

New Delhi: India registered 1,968 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.

The country’s active caseload stood at 34,598 constituting 0.08% of the total Covid cases.

According to Union Health Ministry Ministry, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,716.

The recovery rate is currently at 98.74%, with 3,481 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,40,36,152, it said.

The daily positivity rate stands at 0.94% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.29%, the Ministry said.

With the administration of 3,44,525 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 218.80 crores.

Yesterday, the country registered 3,011 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 3,375 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours.
