Single-day Covid cases in India dip to 5,747

New Delhi: India witnessed a further decline in Single-day Covid cases, with 5,747 fresh cases being registered in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.

The country’s active caseload stood at 46,848 constituting 0.11% of the total Covid cases, it said.

The cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5, 28,302.

The recovery rate is currently at 98.71%, with 5,618 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,39,53,374, it said.

The daily positivity rate stands at 1.89% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.70%, the Ministry said.

With the administration of 23,92,530 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 216.41 crores.

Yesterday, the country registered 6,298 fresh Covid cases and 23 fatalities in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 6,422 fresh Covid cases and 34 deaths in 24 hours.
