Srinagar, Mar 6 (NVI): A fresh spell of rain and snowfall is likely to affect several parts of Kashmir after March 10 due to a series of western disturbances expected to hit the region, weather forecasters said on Friday.
According to weather observers, indications suggest that a chain of western disturbances may influence the Valley from March 10 onwards, bringing a significant change in weather conditions.
They said higher reaches, including the tourist destinations of Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Doodhpathri, are expected to witness another spell of snowfall, while plains may receive moderate to heavy rainfall.
Weather analysts said the intensity of the western disturbances expected in the coming days could lead to widespread precipitation across the Valley.
More updates regarding the approaching weather system are likely to be shared in the coming days as forecasts become clearer, they added.(NVI)
