Soldier dies in landmine blast at Poonch, GoC , LG pay tributes

Jammu, Dec 09 (NVI): A soldier died in a landmine blast at Thanedar Tekri in Poonch district of Jammu, officials said today.

As per official sources the Army’s white Knight corps paid tributes to Havildar V Subbaiah Varikunta, a braveheart of 25 RR who was martyred in Poonch district of Jammu.

In a solemn tribute, the GOC White Knight Corps and all ranks paid their respects to the fallen soldier, acknowledging his supreme courage in protecting the nation. The respect and admiration for Havildar Varikunta’s service were echoed by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha also.
