Rajouri (NVI): An Indian Army soldier was killed in Pakistan shelling along LoC in Sunderbani sector area of Jammu’s Rajouri district late this evening, defence officials said.
Jammu-based spokesman of the Indian army, Lt Colonel Devender Anand said that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on LoC in Sundarbani sector of District Rajouri.
“Own troops responded strongly to the enemy fire and in the incident, Sepoy Laxman was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries,” he said
“Sepoy Laxman was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty,” he said, adding the army soldier is a resident of village Bilara of Jodhpur tehsil of Rajasthan.
