Srinagar, Aug 24 (NVI): A terrorist was killed, and a soldier was injured during a shootout in the Watergam Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Saturday, officials said.
A senior police officer told the News Vibes of India—(NVI) that a shootout occurred this afternoon in the Rafiyabad area of Sopore, while additional forces were quickly deployed to the area to deal with the situation.
He added that during the initial exchange of fire, a soldier sustained injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
The official further added that one terrorist had also been killed in the shootout, while his identification is yet to be attained.
Moreover, a pistol, some ammunition, and a grenade were recovered from the scene, he added.(News Vibes of India)
