New Delhi (NVI): India has become the third worst-hit country after surpassing Russia in the total number of coronavirus cases.
The coronavirus cases in the country saw a rise of 24,248 in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 6,97,413, according to Union Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, the total number of fatalities due to the deadly contagion rose to 19,693 in the country after 425 new fatalities were reported during this period.
