New Delhi (NVI): India registered the highest single-day spike of 27,114 coronavirus cases in last 24 hours and crossed the 8 lakh-mark today, taking the total number of cases to 8,20,916, according to Union Health Ministry data.
The death toll has climbed to 22,123 with 519 new fatalities being recorded since yesterday.
In worst-hit Maharashtra, the COVID-19 cases increased to 2,38,461, followed by Delhi with 1,09,140 cases, and Tamil Nadu with 1,30,261 cases.
