New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India are nearing 13 lakh-mark after 49,310 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, the biggest single-day spike so far, taking the total number of cases to 12,87,945, according to Union Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, the death toll also crossed the 30,000-mark after record 740 new fatalities were reported in the country during the last 24 hours.
With 3,47,502 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far, Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state in the country, followed by Tamil Nadu with 1,92,964 cases and Delhi with 1,27,364 positive cases.
