New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 2 million mark, after 62,538 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 41,585 after 886 new fatalities were reported in the country during this period.
In terms of total number of cases, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state with 4,79,779 coronavirus cases followed by Tamil Nadu (2,79,144), Andhra Pradesh (1,96,789) and Delhi (1,41,531).
