New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 23,29,638, after 66,999 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, the biggest single-day jump so far, according to Union Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 47,033 after 942 new fatalities were reported in the country during this period.
In terms of total number of cases, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state with 5,48,313 coronavirus cases followed by Tamil Nadu (3,14,520) Andhra Pradesh (2,54,146) and Delhi (1,48,504).
