New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India today reached 41,23,811, with fresh 90,632 infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the biggest single-day spike of positive cases in the country so far.
There are 8,62,320 active cases in the country now while 3,18,0865 have been discharged so far. The death toll has reached 70,626 with 1065 fresh deaths since yesterday.
Maharashtra continues to have the highest number of confirmed cases at 8,83,862 cases per the latest Health Ministry data. The state saw a rise of 9,687 positive cases since yesterday, taking the total number of active cases at 2,21,012.
Maharashtra is followed by Tamil Nadu that has recorded 4,57,697 cases, Andhra Pradesh 4,87,331 and Uttar Pradesh 2,59,765.
