New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 8 million-mark today and stands at 80,40,203 after 49,881 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
The country’s death toll stands at 1,20,527 after 517 new fatalities were reported during the same period.
In terms of total number of cases, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state with 16,60,766 coronavirus cases followed by Andhra Pradesh with 8,14,744 cases, Karnataka with 8,12,784 positive cases.
