Peshawar: After carrying out an attack on a post of Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) in Balochistan, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight issued a warning to the paramilitary force and other such agencies, saying they should keep away from the “war” between the Islamist outfit and Pakistan Army.

Issuing an “important message for Balochistan Levies”, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said last night, the Mujahideen of the outfit attacked the FC personnel in Washik district of Balochistan.

“The Levies (paramilitary) personnel resisted. The Mujahideen on the front asked them to retreat and stay away from the war,” he said.

“In the same way, we have already given messages to the paramilitary and intelligence agencies, apart from the police, etc., that they should not be a part of this war,” Khurasani said.

“Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan sends a special message to the Balochistan Levies as a reminder that they should not be a part of this war and should not waste their precious lives for the luxuries of any oppressor. Otherwise, the Mujahideen will be tasked with special attacks against them,” he warned.

Earlier in the day, the outfit said 3 Levies personnel were killed and others injured in that attack on Dali check post in Washik district late last night.

One of its cadres Anas Baloch was also killed in the exchange of fire.

TTP has declared a war against the Pakistan Army and stepped up its attacks ever since ending a ceasefire in November last year.

Meanwhile, in another statement, the TTP spokesman said the outfit has started taking positive steps to prevent extortion and “these steps have been bothering the Pakistani agencies”.

He said the Pakistani State was getting bothered “because on the one hand, their agents are constantly being exposed, and on the other hand, it is also becoming a source of popularity for the Taliban.”

Khurasani added: “Due to TTP’s this move, the facts are being exposed to the public that these agencies are the real extortionists.  They are enemies of people’s life, property and honor.

The TTP spokesman said the Pakistani agencies are constantly trying to impede this move of the outfit to curb extortion.

“For this purpose, the agencies are repeatedly trying to block the contact numbers given by the Tehreek. ..Our WhatsApp contact number has been blocked once again,” he said.
