Mobile Covid-19 testing van donated to Ganjam by US-based Odia doctor

Bhubaneswar (NVI): A New York-based doctor from Odisha has donated a mobile Covid-19 testing van worth Rs 15 lakh to Ganjam district for swab collection.

The exemplary act was also lauded by Ganjam Collector and District Magistrate, Vijay Amruta Kulange.

Dr Tapti Panda hails from Ganjam district and is presently working as a Gynecology specialist in Crystal Run Healthcare of New York. She completed her medical degree from Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Tamil Nadu. Her husband is also a doctor in New York.

The Mobile Testing Van is well equipped with swab testing facility, drinking water and is fully disinfected. The van will help people engaged in swab collection in the district.

Panda first saw the van in Noida Municipality and then talked to the manufacturing company Azimuth Business on Wheels Pvt Ltd. The van will be solely operated by Ganjam district administration as the Covid positive cases are increasing at an alarming pace there.
