Srinagar, Sep 10 (NVI): Senior Politician and former Congress minister Taj Mohiuddin today said he will lodge an FIR against National Conference leader Dr Sajad Ahmed Uri for lying before media that he (Taj) had gone to Delhi to strike a deal with BJP.
“Let him (Dr Sajad) prove that I have ever visited Delhi by air or by train. Airport maintains records of every traveller, let Dr Sajad prove before media that I have ever visited Delhi in past five months,” Taj said while talking to reporters at his Uri residence. He said in the first place Dr Sajad is not Sajad Uri but “Sajad Ahmed Ganai.”
“He has no connections with the Uri. I have decided to write to Election Commission and also lodge an FIR against Dr Sajad before the Returning Officer Uri for his lies before the media about me,” Taj said.
He said he has nothing to do with BJP and is fighting as an independent on his own. “Apni Party chief Syed Altaf Bukhari has extended support to me and I am thankful to him for that,” Taj Mohiuddin.
Earlier in the day, NC leader Dr Sajad Uri had told media men that Taj was BJP’s proxy candidate in Uri and that he had gone to Delhi to get Ashirwad from his mentors. Dr Sajad had also questioned as to why BJP has not fielded any candidate in Uri. (News Vibes of India)
