Srinagar, July 13 (NVI):- In a significant breakthrough, the Kreeri Police Station in Baramulla apprehended a gang of 3 alleged fraudsters who preyed on unsuspecting individuals in the Baramulla area.

An official told News Vibes of India—(NVI) that the gang’s modus operandi involved was cheating people under the guise of selling and purchasing vehicles and promising jobs in reputable institutions like Banks and government Departments.

Acting swiftly, he said police registered an FIR (No. 100/24 U/s 318(4) BNS) and took three accused persons into custody.

The trio were identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir, resident of Thindma, Firdosue Ahmad Mir @ Sameer Khan, son of Ab Aziz, resident of Mughalpora Tangmarg, currently residing in Chanpora, Srinagar and Syed Akther, son of Ab Rasheed, resident of Sonlipora Tanmarg.

“The accused are currently under police custody, and further investigation is underway, additional arrests are expected as the probe unfolds.” Official said.
