New Delhi (NVI): With the rising demand of anti-viral Remdesivir across the country, the production of drug has increased by nearly three times to 1.05 crore vials per month, the Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya informed today.
The Production has gone up from 37 lakh on 12 April 2021 to 1.05 crore on 4 May 2021.
“The production capacity of the drug has crossed 1.05 crore vials per month as on May 4, a nearly three-fold increase from 37 lakh vials per month on April 12 this year, ” Mandaviya said in a tweet.

He further informed that in the view of the increase in demand, the number of plants producing Remdesivir has also gone up from 20 on 12 April 2021 to 57 on 4 May 2021.
