Srinagar: Security forces today shot dead two Pakistani terrorists, including a top commander Usman, in Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Usman and his associate Umar were killed during an encounter that began early in the day.

The gunfight took place after the terrorists fired at a joint team of security forces which was launching a cordon-and-search operation in Hadipora village, police said.

The search operation was launched on the basis of specific input about presence of terrorists in the village.
