Srinagar: A top commander of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit was among two terrorists killed in an encounter in Awantipora sub-district in south Kashmir today, police said.
The encounter in Wandakpora area of Awantipora took place after security forces laid a cordon and launched a search operation to track down the hiding terrorists there, police said.
In the encounter, triggered after the hiding terrorists fired at the security forces, two terrorists were killed one by one.
One of them was identified as Kaiser Koka, a top commander of JeM terror outfit, who was active since 2018, the police said.

“#Terrrorist Kaiser Koka #neutralised. Identification of 2nd terrorist being ascertained,” said a tweet by Kashmir Zone police.
It said incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 1 USA-made M-4 Carbine rifle, 01 pistol and other materials were recovered from the site of the encounter.
