Srinagar: A top terrorist commander of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed today in an encounter with security forces in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.

The encounter in Sirhama village of Anantnag started after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a search operation following specific input about presence of terrorists there, the police said.

The hiding terrorists fired at the search party, which was retaliated, leading to a gunfight, the police said.
