Ganderbal (Kashmir), Aug 30 (NVI): A group of trekkers today met with tragedy in a mountainous area of Kashmir, with one of them losing his life and others going missing.
Official sources told NVI that the rekkers fell unconscious due to high altitude pneumonia.
Subsequently, one of them, identified as 44-year-old Rohit Sayal from South Delhi, was found dead in Naranag area.
Searches for other members believed to two in number, was underway.
The sources said a police team from Kangan has taken the body of Sayal for legal medico formalities.
“Teams from the district administration, police and locals are searching for the remaining group members,” the sources said. (NVI)
