Tri-Services Conduct ‘Exercise Dweep Shakti’ to Boost Coastal, Island Defence Preparedness

New Delhi, Mar 30 (NVI): A high-intensity tri-service exercise, ‘Exercise Dweep Shakti’, aimed at validating integrated capabilities for rapid response in coastal and island defence operations, was conducted from March 24 to 28, 2026.

The exercise witnessed seamless coordination among the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, showcasing joint operational readiness across multiple domains.

According to official sources, the drill involved coordinated amphibious assaults, maritime dominance operations and complex beach landing exercises, with forces deploying next-generation equipment and drones to enhance operational precision.

The exercise also focused on refining integrated tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), further strengthening interoperability and mission readiness among the three services.

Officials said ‘Exercise Dweep Shakti’ underscores the Armed Forces’ growing multi-domain capabilities and their continued commitment to safeguarding India’s maritime frontiers and island territories.(NVI)
