TTP: 3 Pakistani soldiers killed in ambush in Khyber

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it carried out a pre-emptive strike at detachment of Pakistan Army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which 3 soldiers were killed and there was likelihood of many more casualties and injuries.

The TTP cadres carried out an ambush on Army convoy at around 3 AM in Puran Choga area of ​​Shangla District in Malakand Province in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

Thermal guns were also used in the attack, in which 3 army personnel were killed and there is a strong possibility of more casualties and injuries, he said.

Khurasani said the Army detachment had come to Shangla with the intention of raiding the TTP and had camped inside a school in Mkhuzi Anwar area.

When the TTP got the information, it immediately prepared and counter-attacked them in which three soldiers were killed, the spokesman said.

Earlier last night, the Mujahideen of TTP attacked ‘Levis’ police station in Mizai Ada area of ​​Qil Abdullah district of Balochistan with a hand grenade, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties, Khurasani said.

TTP also carried out a grenade attack last night at the office of DSP Shab Qadar in Shab Qadar District in Peshawar Province, as a result of which his vehicle was partially destroyed, but no casualties have been reported yet.

A personnel of paramilitary Frontier Corps was killed and another injured in a sniper attack on Kohi check post in Bara district of Khyber-Jansi Province last night, Khurasani said.
