TTP again causes heavy casualties among Pakistani forces

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which is at war against the Pakistani military, has once again dealt a heavy blow to the security forces by killing at least 6 personnel in a major attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The TTP cadres carried out a well-planned attack on a check post of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) in Thal area of ​​Hangu District in Kohat province last night, according to its spokesman Muhammad Khurasani.

He said 6 security personnel were killed in the attack.

Pakistani officials also confirmed the casualties among the security forces while saying that the post was attacked by a large number of gunmen.

The killed included 4 FC personnel and 2 other security guards, the officials said.

According to the officials, the security personnel were deployed there for protection of an oil and gas company.

TTP, which has launched operations against the Pakistani military after breakdown of ceasefire in November last year, describes the Pakistan Army has “cruel”, “barbaric” and “criminal”.

The Islamist group has declared that it will continue its military campaign till the defeat of the Pakistan Army.
