Peshawar, Mar 15 (NVI) In a development that can cause further worries to the Pakistani State, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has announced the launch of its ‘Spring Offensive 2025’, codenamed ‘Al-Khandaq Operation’, under which the Pakistani military and its associates would be targeted with more intensity.

In a statement, the TTP said its fighters have already “landed in the battlefield equipped with modern resources in most of the provinces” to carry out the operation.

The statement, issued by TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani, said in order to implement the Al-Khandaq operation, units have been formed at the central and provincial levels and the fighters “have gone through all the training stages and techniques of guerilla warfare”.

“In these operations, counter-attacks, targeted attacks, raids, intelligence attacks, sniper attacks, and indiscriminate attacks using modern laser guns will be carried out in a systematic manner on security institutions, their vehicles, and their camps, forts, and posts,” the TTP spokesman said.

“We fully believe in the promises of Lord Dhul-Jalal and also expect that He will give us the blessings of “Operation Al-Khandaq” and defeat the enemies of Islam with the above benefits,” Khorasani said.

This is a further worrying development for the Pakistani State, and particularly its military which is already facing huge losses in terms of men and material in the highly-frequent attacks by the TTP and Baloch freedom-seeking militant groups like Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Army (BRA).

The Pakistani military has been losing hundreds of its personnel every month in such attacks, mainly concentrated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Khorasani noted that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, for the last two decades, has been engaged in a “holy defensive jihad against the security agencies of Pakistan”, with the main objective being implementation of the Sharia system in the country and providing of protection to the lives, property and honor of the people.

The spokesman said the name ‘Al-Khandaq Operation’ has been arrived at after long consultations and discussions and announced as per the practice of the outfit to launch operations under different names from time to time.

“This year, 2025, on the arrival of spring season, the name “Al-Khandaq Operation” has been proposed for the annual operations after long consultations and discussions,” he said.

Giving the reason for choosing this name for the operation, he said “The Battle of Khandaq was the turning point for the Muslims” in the history, wherein the faithful, “despite the lack of resources and men, showed unprecedented perseverance by digging trenches with faith, obedience to the Amir, and the sincere spirit of God’s help.”

“This is the blessed battle in which the weak Muslims overcame the powerful enemy thanks to a few days of self-sacrifice, sacrifice and perseverance and the strength of the Muslims increased to such an extent that all the tribes including Makkah came under the control of the Muslims,” the spokesman said.

He said after the defeat of the enemies of Islam in the Battle of Khandaq, the Prophet had said, “After today we will pursue the enemy, and they will not be able to attack us.”

Drawing parallels with the present regime of Pakistan, the TTP spokesman attacked the Army clan of the country, saying they were responsible for prevailing condition of the country.

“We want to remind the Ghayur tribes and other dear compatriots that the infamous Jarneli (Generals’) group that has been occupying and ruling the country for the past seventy years is the one responsible for political instability in the country, looting of the national treasury, robbery of all the resources of the economy, keeping the judiciary as slaves, ruining the education system, arresting members of political parties and issuing arbitrary laws and decisions,” he said.

“Therefore! It is the Shariah and moral duty of all the people of Pakistan to support Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan for the sake of getting rid of this chronic evil and establishing peace in the country.

“The day is not far that thanks to the efforts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Pakistan will also become the cradle of peace, and all-round and positive relations will be established with all the neighboring countries under Islamic principles. And that is Ali Allah Baziz,” he said. (NVI)
